The Atwood Chapel United Methodist Women have started a new practice they love and want to share their ideas with other churches in the conference. At the first meeting, each lady brought a coffee cup to the meeting. When everyone arrived their name is put on the bottom with a permanent marker and then entered each name in a drawing. Later in the meeting, each member present randomly drew a name (other than their own). The members were instructed to take home the cup belonging to the person whose name they had drawn and to use that "Loaner cup" to drink their morning beverage and to be sure to include that person in their morning prayers. The women have discovered how wonderful it is to know that every morning someone is praying for them. Every month following, each cup is returned and everyone draws a different name and goes home with a that person cup and prayer concerns to remember each morning.
