The Casey County detention Center inmates were blessed with the spirit of Christmas. In a project started at Salem United Methodist Church, 99 children of state inmates received presents from their fathers and/or mothers. Salem was joined by sister churches Atwood Chapel and Bethlehem in providing gifts for the youngsters who range in age from 13months to 16 years. Through the churches efforts, the children received a gift from their incarcerated parent along with a card signed by "Dad" or "Mom". Also included were flyers with faith based Christmas stories.
