Mrs. Dimple McAnelly

Dimple McAnelly and Judy FarisOne of the joys of our Casey County Cluster Gatherings is to be with Mrs. Dimple McAnelly, who is an active member of the Atwood Chapel UMC. She has been a vital and serving member of the church for over 60 years, with leadership in the work of United Methodist Women, teaching Sunday School, and Church Pianist. Presently, she is the Chairperson of the Administrative Board.

What makes this unique is that she will be 92 on July 6, having been born on July 6, 1913. Another interesting thing about her is that both of her children, Emily and Elmer, were also born on her birthday, July 6. Dimple is a retired school teacher, and everywhere we go in Casey County, we find her students all over the place. The goodness and blessing of her life just keeps on giving, and giving, and giving.

Dimple is "like a tree planted by the rivers of water, who continues to bring forth fruit in the seasons of her life" Psalm 1:3.

In the photo, Dimple is standing with Judy Faris, also a retired school teacher.
