On Sunday, August 28, over 100 United Methodists gathered at the Kingdom Come State Park for the Harlan County Summer Custer Gathering in a great time of food, fellowship, singing, sharing, preaching, praying, and worshiping from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

All of the local United Methodist Churches in Harlan County (Red Bird Missionary Conference and the Corbin District) were represented at the cluster gathering.

Pastors in the photo are: Front Row from Red Bird Missionary Conference: Robert Amundsen and son, Jordyn (Evarts), Carol Crawford (Wallins), Bob Landis (Mary Helen/Cranks Creek).

Last Row from Corbin District: Barry Leonard (Harlan and Leader of the Harlan County Cluster), Arnold Hammons (Loyall), Kyle Burnette (Baxter), Terry Faris (Corbin D.S.), Chuck Spice (Benham/Cumberland and Host Pastor for the Gathering). Only Pastor Hugh Webb (Lynch) was absent because of a back injury.
