Earnest Mann, Pastor of the West Monticello Circuit in our Wayne County Cluster, is the "Cross Maker" in our Corbin District. In August of 2003, Terry Faris gave 50 Crosses made by the late Don Mercurio to Pastor Mann and his people, and this inspired Earnest to begin to make the crosses as a new ministry.
At the Red Bird Missionary Conference meeting in May, the theme is "Lift Hight the Cross," and Terry Faris will be giving Earnest's crosses to all the Pastors and Spouses in the Conference, as Terry preaches on "Missions Night," May 14.
Special thanks to Harold and Wilma Faulkner of Williamsburg, Ky., who recently gave Earnest a truck load of beautiful wood (oak, cherry, walnut, butternut), with which to make more crosses.
The Faulkners are active members of the First Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Ky., and have been good friends with Terry and Judy Faris since 1971.
