Bishop and Cabinet

Let Our Joy Be Known
Leadership in the Bible is not about power, but about relationship.

Leadership is often understood in the world as being "over" people, but Biblical leadership is all about being "with" people, as His name is called "Immanuel" (God with us).

Leadership as seen in our Lord Jesus Christ (The Good Shepherd) is all about knowing the sheep, loving the sheep, feeding the sheep, protecting the sheep, and even willing to die for the sheep (John 10).

The Bishops of our United Methodist Church are called to give leadership. The shepherds staff is the symbol of the office of Bishops, who are Pastors guiding and pasturing the sheep.

In our Kentucky Conference, our Bishop (James King) works with the 12 District Superintendents from across the state to lead and feed our churches. The Bishop and his Appointive Cabinet (the 12 District Superintendents) need the constant prayers of the Lord's people for the Lord's work. The Bishop and the Appointive Cabinet will be at the work of appointment making: Feb. 2-4, Feb. 9-11, Feb. 23-24, March 1-2, March 9, March 23-24, March 30, and May 19. May the Good Shepherd lead the shepherds.

The Full Cabinet is Bishop King, the 12 District Superintendents, and other key Conference leaders. Pray for these leaders as they are listed in the photo:
