On September I will reach a milestone. I will have been married to my sweetheart twice as long as I lived before we married. This is one of God’s blessings that I thank Him for every day. It reminds me of the decision to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Some people delay this decision, thinking they have to give up too much fun. They do not realize how much fun and how many blessings they are missing. One seventy-five year old man was saved and baptized. He lamented the life with Jesus on earth that he had missed. Life with Jesus is a great blessing. Jesus brings us faith, hope, and love as no one else can.(1 Cor 13:13 Paul recognized in his sufferings “through Christ our comfort overflows.” (2 Cor 1:5) If a person needs a friend, there is no greater friend than Jesus. We need to teach our friends that try to enjoy life without Jesus about all they are missing. Why would we deny such a free blessing to a friend?
