Corbin District Pastors' Spouses'
Monthly Gathering

Corbin District Pastors' Spouses Responding to the leadership of the Lord and to the needs of people, Judy Faris has begun a monthly gathering of the Pastors' Spouses' in the Corbin District. The first gathering was held on Feb. 23 at O'Mally's Restaurant in Corbin, Ky. With the town of Corbin being at the geographical heart of the Corbin District, it is a central and good gathering place for the 200 mile wide district.

At this very first gathering, there were 17 spouses from 6 counties. Those in the photo are: Front Row: Judy Faris (Corbin District), Marlene Spice (Benham/Cumberland), Vickie Hull (Burnett Chapel). Middle Row: Kathy Cole (Slate Hill), Glenna Gregory (Mt. Zion), Pat Sayre (Somerset), David Elkow (Corbin First), Gay Richardson (Willow Springs), Donna Hill (Middleburg). Back Row: Karen Horton (Sardis Chapel), Marti Wilson (Williamsburg/Pleasant View), Eva Mann (Bethesda/Cabell Grove/Keens Chapel/Edwards Chapel), Suzie Savage (Monticello/Locketts Chapel), Gina Wilcoxson (Somerset), Stella Held (Burnside), Rose Poff (Science Hill), Kitty Allen (Barbourville).

The group will gather on the last Thursday evening of every month at the District Parsonage at 7:00 pm, but once every quarter, there will be a Supper Gathering at O'Mally's Restaurant, and all the costs are covered by the Corbin District Fund. The format for the monthly gatherings will be a time of devotion and worship, fellowship, sharing, and prayer.

The weekend of October 6 - 8 will be the Corbin District Pastors/Spouses Retreat at the Long View Ranch in Mosheim, Tennessee in the foothills of the beautiful (fall follage) of the Smoky Mountains, with all costs covered by the Corbin District Fund.
