The Johnson Sisters
The Johnson Sisters

One of the great joys of the Laurel County Cluster 'FLOWS' Weekend was having the Johnson Sisters Trio sing at all the services. They are the daughters of Conrad and Joy Johnson of the Olive Gilead UMC. The sisters had a wonderful "drug" problem when they were little. Their parents "drug" them to Church, "drug" them to Sunday School, and "drug" them to Christ from day one with the joyful sound of music! Bonnie Johnson teaches at Hazel Green Elementary School, and is the Children's Church Teacher at Olive Gilead UMC.

Jamie Johnson is the Extension Agent for 4-H in Clay County, and community and environmental spokesperson.

Melanie Johnson Hall is the mother of 3 children (Jesse, James, Isabella), and is a pianist/song writer.

Terry Faris, Corbin District Superintendent, says that their names should be "Melody, Harmony, and Concordia". They make beautiful music for the Lord with their unique and creative acappella sound and natural harmony.

They will be singing at our next Quarterly Laurel County Cluster Gathering on Sunday, May 16, as we gather at Twin Branch UMC for dinner on the grounds at their Homecoming and Consecration Service of their new Fellowship/Learning Building. The Laurel County Cluster will gather at Twin Branch UMC for the pot-luck dinner from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m., followed by a joyful Song/Worship Service and the 2:00 p.m. New Building Consecration Service. Great Joy!!!

Bishop James King greatly enjoyed meeting the Johnson Family, as the Johnson Sisters sang at our Corbin District Bishop's Hour. What a joy for the Bishop to meet and know Conrad and Joy, Bonnie, Jamie, and Melanie, and Melanie's three children (Isabella, James, and Jesse).
