STANDING RULES OF THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN KENTUCKY CONFERENCE AND CORBIN DISTRICT

The United Methodist Women of the Kentucky Conference of the Corbin District shall function in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws 2001-2005 for District Organizations (Conference, District and Local Units) of United Methodist Women as adopted by the Women's Division of the General Board of Global Ministries, and in accordance with the Standing rules of the Kentucky Conference. The Standing Rules of the Kentucky Conference shall be the district rules unless stated to be specifically district. These Corbin District Standing Rules are supplementary thereto.

FUNDS

  1. The president, as well as, the treasurer shall have authority to have access to bank accounts of the district.
  2. The treasurer shall send to the Service Center the subscription to receive the resource mailing for the Secretary of Program Resources and for the president.
  3. Reimbursement for postage and other necessary expenses shall be paid to district officers. District officers are responsible for seeking reimbursement by the presentation of a voucher with all expenses except mileage represented by a receipt for said expenses. Vouchers must be itemized and shall be submitted to the treasurer for payment within the quarter in which the expense is incurred.
  4. Honoraria-The minimum honoraria paid to speakers for a district meeting, etc. shall be $50.00 plus travel expense.
  5. Sympathies and Memorials
  6. In the event of the death of a district officer, a $25.00 gift in remembrance of the officer shall be given.
  7. A memorial gift in the amount of $10.00 shall be given in the event of the death of a husband or child of a district officer.
  8. Get well and sympathy cards shall be sent by the district secretary to appropriate conference and district officers at her discretion. Other officers shall aid in notifying her of such needs.
