Flood Buckets Have you been wondering what we can do for those who have been devastated by two hurricanes and possibly three in a month?
UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) has run out of Flood Buckets and need to restock. Restocking can be done two ways:
- We can send $45.00 for each bucket and have UMCOR purchase and put the buckets together.
- A group of people go together and prepare a bucket, with a note from us to whoever receives the bucket, and ship it to UMCOR.
Contents of a Flood Bucket:
- 5-gallon bucket with resealable lid
- bleach (2 1-quart bottles or 1 82oz. bottle)
- 5 scouring pads
- 7 sponges
- 1 scrub brush
- 18 cleaning towels (reusable wipes)
- Liquid laundry detergent (2 25 oz, or 1 50 oz. bottle)
- 1 household cleaner (12-16 oz. bottle)
- disinfectant dish soap (16-28 oz. bottle)
- 50 clothes pins
- Clothes line (2 50 ft. or 1 100 ft. line)
- 5 dust masks
- 2 pair latex gloves
- 1 pair work gloves
- 24 bag roll of heavy duty trash bags 33-45 gallon size
- 1 insect repellent spray (6-14 oz. bottle)
- 1 air freshener (8-9 oz. can)
