New Sanctuary at Cabell Grove UMC

New Sanctuary at Cabell Grove UMC Congratulations to Pastor Earnest Mann and his Cabell Grove UMC Family for the completion of their new and beautiful sanctuary. The former sanctuary was transformed into a Fellowship/Education Building, with the addition of a new kitchen. With all the natural wood, the large gathering room has the sense and feel of a warm and cozy lodge with lots of tables and chairs.

The new sanctuary is full of light, and is a bright and happy place. Because most of the labor was donated, the total cost of the new sanctuary was only $26,000 and the debt on the new building is only $17,000. The "Carpenters for Christ" came early in the construction process, and in only two days helped to frame up the entire building.

Cabell Grove UMC is part of the West Monticello Circuit in the Wayne County Cluster of the Corbin District, and $1,000 was given from the Corbin District Fund to help construct the new building. Pastor Earnest Mann is the "Cross Maker," and he and his wife, Eva, are in their 8th year of effective leadership of the four churches: Cabell Grove/Bethesda/Keens Chapel/Edwards Chapel.

In the photo, Cabell Grove UMC recently hosted the 'CLEAR' (Cluster Leadership Enrichment And Renewal) Morning on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9:30 am - 12 Noon, during the Wayne County Cluster Weekend Revival, with Dr. Terry Faris (Corbin D.S.) as the preacher/teacher. All three pastors in the Wayne County Cluster were present, with a good representation of the leaders of the Wayne County Cluster Churches.

Cabell Grove UMC is a "Love Station" for the Lord, as they seek to be "522 People" in helping to build a more Christ-like world.
